The J. Douglas Eastwood, QC Memorial Award was established in 2018 by his family, friends, and colleagues to recognize his outstanding service to °®¶¹´«Ã½ and his many contributions to public service and the community.
Doug Eastwood served on the °®¶¹´«Ã½ Board of Governors for six years between 2011 and 2017, including three years as Chair. He had a distinguished 27-year career with the BC Ministry of Attorney General and was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 2013.

One award of $1,000 is available annually.
Eligibility Criteria
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status.
- Enrolled in an eligible degree, diploma, or certificate program of 10 credits or more.
- demonstrate involvement in school and/or community activities, especially volunteering, with a preference for applicants with experience working with youth. This must be supported by a letter of reference.
